Itineraries to organize your trip to Taiwan

  • by

Taiwan is a concentrate of cultural places and natural discoveries. Travelers often visit it in 1 or 2 weeks. Transportation being good, it is already possible to have a nice overview for this duration, but in 3 weeks you will have more time to immerse yourself in its rich culture and discover all its natural potential.

The classic one-week Taiwan itinerary:

  • Taipei
  • Taroko Gorge
  • Sun Moon Lake
  • Tainan

In one week it is also possible to devote yourself to the north or south of the island

In the north of Taiwan you can visit

  • Taipei
  • Around Taipei (Yangmingshan Natural Park)
  • The north-east coast (Yehliu and its rock formations, the superb village of Jiufen…)
  • Taroko Gorge

Going further south from Taiwan:

  • Taipei
  • Taroko Gorge
  • Kenting National Park
  • Tainan or Sun Moon Lak

In two weeks, you can make an itinerary that goes around the island of Taiwan:

  • Taipei
  • North coast (Yehliu, Jiufen …)
  • Follow the east coast to go further south and reach the Taroko Gorge
  • Go to Kenting National Park in the south. On the way, if you are by car, don’t hesitate to make stops on beaches known for their geological formations. You will have no trouble finding maps with points of interest in the area.
  • Drive up to Kaoshiung and finish your trip with a few days at Sun Moon Lake
